Prior Experience
Prior to beginning my career as a psychotherapist,
I was a credentialed teacher. I spent fourteen years in the Kentfield School District (Kentfield,
California) in various capacities. As a middle school teacher I taught, English, Spanish,
ESL, French, Social Studies, and Computers to students in grades 5-8. As an adjunct to my teaching I acted
as a counselor, providing individual and group counseling to students and assisting with adolescent sexuality seminars
and Family Change and Social Skills Groups. I also provided crisis intervention when needed.
In addition I was Regional Coordinator of a Foreign Language Teacher Training Project, a state-wide workshop presenter
on themes relating to the teaching of foreign languages and took advanced language course work in both Quebec and Mexico.
I
started my teaching career in 1979, and have taught at The Katherine Del Mar Burke School (San Francisco, California),
